In 1932 Maurice Corné established the Corné brand. Seeing his success, his brothers and sisters also embarked on a career in the chocolate industry. To differentiate himself he decided to add his own suffix: and so Corné Port-Royal was born.

In 1990, the chocolate maker Vanparys, established in 1920 by Englebert Vanparijs purchased the Corné Port-Royal brand.

The company develops a network of chocolate stores all over the world: Brussels, London, Madrid, Paris, Tokyo, New York,...

In 2007, “Vanparys Chocolatier s.a.” change his name and become “Corné Port-Royal Chocolatier s.a.”
